Demir S, Yurab R. Intussusception secondary to a Meckel’s diverticulum in an adolescent. Case Study and Case Report 2022; 12(3): 29 - 33.
ABSTRACT
It is uncommon for an inverted Meckel diverticulum to develop adult intussusception. We describe a Turkish male, age 30, who had intussusception brought on by meckel diverticulitis. Computed CT indicated ileo-ileal intussusception. Ilio-ileal intussusception with Meckel's diverticulum was discovered during exploration. There was a diverticulectomy along with a minor bowel resection.
Key words: Intussusception, Meckel diverticulum
