Sharma S, Shanti R. Post-COVID-19 arthritis: a case study. Case Study and Case Report 2022; 12(4): 38 - 41.
ABSTRACT
The unique pathogen causing the coronavirus disease 19 (COVID-19) outbreak is the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV2). The pathogenetic pathways of the virally-induced damage are being investigated by researchers and clinicians, and there is rising interest in the immediate and long-term effects of the infection on the immune system. We'll concentrate on the post-SARS-CoV2 infection arthritis that could develop as a brand-new pathological illness linked to COVID-19. In this report, we describe a case of acute oligoarthritis in a middle-aged man that developed 15 days after he developed severe pneumonia caused by the SARS-CoV2.
Key words: COVID-19, arthritis, complication
