ABSTRACT Ectopic Liver Tissue (ELT) is a rare condition mostly discovered incidentally during a surgery or autopsy. It is usually found around the gallbladder but other locations had been described since 1904 when it had been mentioned for the first time by Albert. This study aims to present a 54-yo-female with an independent ectopic liver tissue lying on the gallbladder but with its own vasculary supply and no connection to the gallbladder wall but also to review over this infrequent entity. ABSTRACT

COVID-19 pandemic is the important global public health problem. The case study and case report on this new emerging disease is important in clinical medicine. There are many new reports on atypical presentation, diagnosis, treatment and prevention for COVID-19. Nevertheless, an important aspect of COVID-19 that is little reported as case report is “No case”. In some specific area and situation, there is no case of COVID-19 despite there are numerous COVID-19 cases in nearby areas. The case study on “No case” of COVID-19 is interesting.

ABSTRACT

COVID-19 is a new important public health problem. This viral infection starts in Republic of China and it already spreads to almost all countries in our world. As a new disease that can result in mortality, general population usually feels fear for getting infection. Sometimes, alternative medicine might be selected as tool for disease prevention by general people. In the present report, the author presents a case of patient presenting with acute hepatitis. According to the in depth history taking, the patient revealed history in intake of leaves of Gymnanthemum extensum due to the belief that the plant can help prevent COVID-19. At present, several plants are locally claimed for the medical usefulness and used as alternative medicine aiming at COVID-19 prevention. Without good control, there might be a possible adverse effect from those unproven herbs claimed for COVID-19 prevention.

ABSTRACT                                                                                           

Cordyceps is an important Chinese traditional herbal regimen. The health benefit of Cordyceps widely mentioned. Many researches mention for the usefulness of Cordyceps in management of help problem. Similar to other herbal regimens, the possible adverse effect of Cordyceps is interesting but little mentioned. In this case report, the authors report and discuss a case of acute hepatitis induced by Cordyceps.
